No amount of technology can truly capture the look and feel of real wood. Not sure that we need to say it , but it takes some effort in maintenance in order to keep a wood deck looking good. However, if you are one of those people who really likes the look of real wood and does not mind the additional work required to maintain it, by all means go for it! We offer several choices in wood decks— redwood decks are the most common as redwood has a proven track record in our climate. Cedar is also a good economical choice. Both redwood and cedar have natural microbes that inhibit dry-rot and deterioration.
We also offer exotic tropical woods such as IPE and Tigerwood and others. Be advised that the tropical woods require additional maintenance and re-staining due to the tight-graining which does not absorb stain very readily. You can expect a wood deck to last ~ 20 years.
